Getting married has been a long time dream. walking down the aisle in a long white gown with my man waiting down the aisle is something that I had dreamed of, even as a kid. But my boyfriend still hasn't proposed. I took a deep audible breath. What a dilemma. I don't like harassing him about either. And I won't propose because I'm not a man. Ah! But I can give him hints that I am ready to be his wife. So one day while we were going to the church to attend mass, we saw a bridal car. The white car was decorated with pink flowers. Amazing! There's going to be a wedding. Here's my chance, I said to my self.
I told my boyfriend that the couple being married has a pink theme. I told him that if I'm going to walk down the aisle, I want to see yellow flowers. A sunny yellow to be exact is what I want. He was confused with my yellow revelation. He knew that yellow is not my favorite color. It's green. My reason for choosing yellow is that there weren't any green flowers and yellow adds sunshine to the room. The leaves are already green. It would be foolish to look for green flowers. He nodded and said that he will remember that. I was amazed by his comment. I smiled at him and said thank you.
We agreed to drop by the shopping after hearing mass. I wanted to lure him to a restaurant. But he put his around me and led me to a jewelry store. He said he had to run an errand for his mom. His mom asked him to have her ring resized as it doesn't fit her anymore. I had let him do his business while I was browsing around. While walking around, I came to the wedding rings collection. I stared in awe at the stunning collection of bespoke engagement rings the shop carries.
A lady employed by the store went to where I was standing. She wanted to determine if I want to buy diamond wedding rings. I said no. Not dissuaded by my answer, she got some rings and displayed them for me to peruse. She told me the value of the rings she showed me. There's a set of simple traditional yellow gold bands, white gold and platinum wedding rings. There's also rings with combined yellow and white gold bands. And there are rings with diamonds inlaid in the ring. She then wanted to know the designs I favor. I said I want a wedding ring that is elegant and timeless. Then my boyfriend came.
He wanted to know the designs that is in accordance to my preference so he asked the lady to show us those rings. The lady further asked me if there's a stone or not. I responded that I prefer a ring with a stone but I'm also okay without one as long as the design sits well with me. I was weighed down with the displays. My boyfriend looked at me tenderly and told me to pick the rings I prefer. At some point, we would speak about our plans. But in the appropriate place and time. I nodded and I also smiled. And I ended up being happy.
